Just saw you on CNN and then checked your route and see that you are passing through Rockaway, NJ. I live in that town and will pick you up and provide an overnight stay, if you wish. See email address with this message. Otherwise, all good wishes to you for taking on this admirable journey.
Be sure to eat the journey: in each stop, inquire (even if you opt out sometimes!)of locals, “Where would you take your visiting best friend to your own favorite local restaurant?” See what treasures you find.
If you can wangle home visits, enjoy your hosts’ favorite foods. Always offer to help. Also, discern if they decline seriously, and respect that.
Be clean.
Have a great trip!
what a great walk! wish i could tag along for a while! when you get to new mexico you are welcome to come stay in my casa
Hello! I just found out about your journey and wish I had known you were in my town of Ashland last night! We would have been happy to host you for the evening. I do know some people in Chesterfield county and Blackstone so email me and I can get you contact information. Congratulations on this incredible journey (the walk, AND citizenship!).
Hey Constantino, just saw the piece in CNN. That is so awesome what you are doing. You will see and experience parts of America that most will never see. I’ll be following you and wishing you luck on your journey. You are a “true American” God Bless and be safe.
I note that your route doesnt cross the Rockies directly. I went over Monarch Pass in Colorado, a state you really need to see, It is stunning there.
