Cedd Moses

Cedd Moses is founder and CEO of 213 Downtown. The group has reinvigorated Los Angeles nightlife and changed the way we drink with bars like Seven Grand, the Doheny, Cole’s and Varnish, all of which joined Zócalo for our first fundraiser at Union Station. Read more about Moses below.

Q. What’s your favorite word?

A. Shenanigans.

Q. When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A. I really looked up to my dad, so an artist when I was a kid. My father’s an abstract painter so that’s what I wanted to be.

Q. What is your favorite cocktail?

A. The Last Word.

Q. If you were about to be executed, what would you want for your final meal?

A. A fried egg sandwich with bacon. That’s pretty much my favorite food.

Q. If you could take only one more journey, where would you go?

A. San Sebastian in Spain. That’s my favorite city.

Q. What profession would you like to practice in your next life?

A. Same one I have now – cocktail entrepreneur. It’s my business.

Q. What is your fondest childhood memory?

A. I have a lot of them. I had a skateboard business as a kid, and I had my own skate team. We won a contest.

Q. What is your most prized material possession?

A. Mint julep cups that my grandmother gave me.

Q. Who is the one person living or dead that you’d most love to meet for dinner?

A. Nietzsche.
